Payment & Insurance

Payment is expected at the time of service.  Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.

Most of our providers participate in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network (except Blue Cross Complete, Medicare Plus Blue, Medicare Supplemental, BCN Advantage and Healthy Blue Choices).   Our psychiatrist does not  participate with insurance. Our office does not bill out of network. If your plan is out of network, we recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to see if you may submit receipts to them for a full or partial reimbursement. 

While our Office Manager may provide you with an estimate of your insurance coverage, ultimately it is your responsibility to be aware of your insurance plan, its benefits, and your insurance coverage. 

 

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:
*Do I have a deductible, copay or coinsurance for out patient mental health benefits?
*What is my annual deductible and has it been met for this year?

*Do I have coverage for teletherapy/telehealth visits?
*How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
*Do I need prior authorization?

*Does my insurance plan have out-of-network mental health benefits?

*What percentage is reimbursed per visit for an out-of-network provider?

*What is the process for seeking reimbursement from the insurance if I pay the provider out of pocket?
