Research Opportunities

Interested in participating in research? Explore these studies below

The FAR Lab in the Psychology Department of EMU is conducting a study using augmented reality technology to treat spider and snake phobias. Specifically, participants with fears of spiders or snakes will be interacting with virtual animals with a therapist with the goal of reducing their fear in the long term. If you are interested in seeking treatment for a fear of spiders or snakes, or if you want to help this research expand this novel therapy to the world, please contact them via email at far_lab@emich.edu or call us at 734-487-6715.
The FAR Lab will be following EMU’s COVID-19 Preparedness, Response, and Safe Return to Campus Operations Plan which can be found here: https://www.emich.edu/emu-safe/safe-return-to-campus/
