Neuropsychological Testing Services
Neuropsychological Testing Services
We provide neuropsychological evaluations and testing (half-day & full-day testing). Neuropsychological testing can be an important step to understanding how your brain functions and to help diagnose and differentiate between various conditions; such as ADHD, learning disabilities, speech and language disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and psychiatric concerns. Our neuropsychologist will take an in-depth look and assess your cognitive strengths and weaknesses in areas such as memory, attention, problem-solving, and language. Testing involves a series of questions and tasks, along with a review of your history and consultation with the current treating provider. Our neuropsychologist will interpret the results and provide feedback. This can help provide a diagnosis and guide detailed treatment/rehabilitation plans. Our assessments embrace a collaborative approach to working with children and families to discover important information that can be used to optimize learning and adaptive behavior across the multiple settings of home, school/work, and community. We believe assessments are a powerful tool for self discovery for anyone of any age.
Our neuropsychologist provides services for legal and forensic purposes and for work/school requirements.
All potential clients will either need to complete the 'Client Intake Form' or have a referring provider complete the 'Clinician Referral Form' that are listed below.

FAQs
Who administers the neuropsychological testing?
Our neuropsychologist Jodene G. Fine, Ph.D., ABPdN will meet with you for the Diagnostic Interview, Testing, and Feedback. For more information about Dr. Fine, please click on the link below.
Do you accept insurance for neuropsychological testing?

We do not accept insurance. We are out-of-network with insurance companies for neuropsychological testing. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss this with them. Your insurance may provide an out-of-network reimbursement benefit. A receipt for payment will be available for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. It is important for you to contact your insurance company to determine your exact benefit and their requirements for submitting claims for reimbursement. Please note that it is your responsibility to understand your insurance benefit.
What should I ask my insurance when I call them?
Things to ask your insurance are:
-
What is my coverage for out-of-network outpatient mental health services in the office and telehealth?
-
What percentage is reimbursed per visit for an out-of-network provider and does my deductible apply?
-
What is my annual out-of-network deductible and has it been met for this year? How much is remaining to be met?
-
Do I need prior authorization? (Note: Most HMO/Blue Care Network plans will require prior authorization. Only a few of these plans will approve an authorization for reimbursement)
If I have an HSA/FSA, can I still use it to pay for my testing?
Typically, yes you can use an HSA/FSA to pay for out of pocket services. Please contact your HSA/FSA provider for their specific rules on how your plan can be used. Receipts will be available to submit to your HSA/FSA carrier.
Are my appointments going to be virtual or in-person?
The Diagnostic Interview and Feedback Session will be virtual. Testing is done at the office, in-person, and cannot be done virtually.
Does my child need to be at the appointments?

Your child only needs to be present for the testing.
Where can I be during my child's testing?
You cannot be in the room for your child's testing. We have a lobby/waiting room that you can sit in. If your child is 12 or under you cannot leave the building during testing. Prepare an activity for yourself while your child is testing. If you are working, you may work in the waiting room. We do not have private rooms available for you to wait in while your child is in testing. If your child is 13 or older, you may leave the building. We have many coffee shops, shops, and restaurants near our office. Please refer to the "How To Prepare For Your Assessment" form for more information.
Is my child going to be told the results of testing

Not unless you request Dr. Fine to talk to them. You will discuss the results of testing with Dr. Fine during your feedback session without your child present. If you or your child wants to talk to Dr. Fine about the results, Dr. Fine is happy to meet with your child for 15 minutes to go over them and answer questions.
