Elyse Hutcheson, MA, TLLP

Elyse Hutcheson, MA, TLLP is a clinical psychology PhD trainee currently enrolled in her 4th year of graduate studies at The University of Toledo, with a focus in treating and researching anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. Prior to joining the team at the Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center, Elyse completed two years of clinical training; including a one-year clinical placement at the University of Toledo Medical Center Family Medicine office, and multiple supervised clinical practicum experiences in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child and Adolescent Assessment and Therapy, and Mindfulness and Acceptance Based Therapy at The University of Toledo Psychology Clinic. Before beginning graduate training, Elyse worked for two years as a research assistant at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University OCD Research Group, where she gained extensive training in the evaluation of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and trauma-and-stressor related disorders. 

 

 

Elyse believes in cultivating strong, collaborative therapeutic relationships with her clients while helping them meet their goals, and has provided therapy services to individuals throughout the lifespan. Elyse has received training and supervision in a variety of empirically supported treatments for anxiety and mood disorders, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. Clients have described Elyse as genuine, motivating, and empathetic.
