Bethany Navis, LMSW (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in treating anxiety disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children and adolescents. Bethany is committed to providing effective, evidence-based treatments in a collaborative and supportive environment. She believes that anxiety impacts the family system as a whole and often works with family members to educate them on how to best support their loved ones with anxiety or OCD.
Bethany graduated with her master's degree in December 2021 from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Bethany completed a one-year internship and two-year fellowship with Michigan Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic where she received training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). Bethany has received further training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), SPACE for ARFID, and HRT (Habit Reversal Therapy). Bethany pursues ongoing learning and training opportunities to advance her knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions and better work with her clients. She believes in empowering her clients to manage their anxiety so they can live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
