Bethany Navis, LLMSW (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in the
treatment of anxiety disorders and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children and adolescents.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience in August 2017, and completed 3 years of research with the Prechter Bipolar Research Program before returning to school for her Master of Social Work (MSW). She then graduated with her MSW in December 2021 from the University of Michigan. During this time, Bethany completed a year-long internship with Michigan Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. After graduation, she completed a 2-year post-graduate fellowship with Michigan Medicine’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic.

 

During the internship and fellowship, Bethany received training on using evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has experience using these approaches to treatment Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Specific Phobias, OCD, and panic attacks. Bethany continues to pursue training opportunities that advance her knowledge and understanding of evidence-based interventions.
