Earlier, he completed a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Moody Theological Seminary and Graduate School. During the last year of his doctoral program, he received advanced clinical training at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS). There, he provided individual therapy for anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, emotion dysregulation, and post-traumatic stress disorder to clients with a variety of concerns, including health anxiety, sexual trauma, and physical trauma.
