Larson E. Sholander, PhD, LLP
Dr. Sholander is a postdoctoral fellow who completed his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Toledo. Earlier, he completed a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Moody Theological Seminary and Graduate School. During the last year of his doctoral program, he received advanced clinical training at the Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS). There, he provided individual therapy for anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, emotion dysregulation, and post-traumatic stress disorder to clients with a variety of concerns, including health anxiety, sexual trauma, and physical trauma.
Dr. Sholander’s clinical training was grounded in evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapies in outpatient clinics and medical centers. He has been trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and prolonged exposure therapy (PE). He also has experience with providing differential diagnostic services and treatment planning services for clients.
Dr. Sholander’s goal is to create a client-centered, collaborative environment to help you overcome your anxiety and live a life that is consistent with your values. He will tailor empirically based interventions to fit your goals. Dr. Sholander is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and the Society for Personality Assessment (SPA).

Insurance
Dr Sholander is able to bill BCBS under his supervising therapist, Debra Levine, PhD, LP. Payment is expected at the time of service. If your insurance covers out of network therapy, documentation is available for you to submit to your insurance company, HSA, HSP, of FSA for possible reimbursement or proof of treatment.
