Sara (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker and has been practicing since 2013. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Educational Policy at Michigan State University before earning her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Michigan. Upon completion of her internship in the Michigan Medicine Department of Psychiatry, she was awarded a two-year post-MSW fellowship, and later held a staff position as a clinical social worker/psychotherapist. During her time at Michigan Medicine, she was a member of the Social Work Research Committee, led support groups and family trainings, trained interns, and worked as a therapist on several OCD studies.

Sara has received extensive training in evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She works with patients of all ages but specializes in the treatment of adolescents and young adults. She bases her treatment plans on current scientific evidence. Her goal is for patients to “become their own therapist” and learn skills that will serve them in all aspects of life.

Sara is a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and the Anxiety & Depression Association of America (ADAA). She regularly presents on evidence-based interventions for anxiety disorders, OCD, and family accommodation of anxiety disorders. Please contact directly to discuss potential presentations.
