Amy Plavnick, LMSW

Amy Plavnick, LMSW is a licensed Clinical Social worker who specializes in treating anxiety disorders and OCD in children, adolescents, and adults. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 2004 and has spent the past ten years obtaining expert training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety Disorders and OCD across the lifespan. Amy has received independent training from expert CBT clinicians affiliated with the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry and the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Amy has also completed advanced training in the treatment of childhood OCD through the International OCD Foundation’s Pediatric Behavior Therapy Training Institute. She has experience treating body focused repetitive behaviors, including Trichotillomania and skin picking in both youth and adults. Amy continues to develop her clinical skills while staying current with empirical research pertaining to areas within her practice. She is committed to using evidence-based interventions to help her clients develop the skills necessary to manage their anxiety and improve their overall level of functioning.

Insurance
Amy Plavnick is an in-network provider for Blue Care Network ( including M Premier), Blue Cross Blue Shield (except Blue Cross Complete and Medicare Plus Blue) and PHP/Michigan Cares insurance. Payment is expected at the time of service. If your insurance covers out of network therapy, documentation is available for you to submit to your insurance company, HSA, HSP, of FSA for possible reimbursement or proof of treatment.
